4:20 pm As if being entangled in legal proceedings isn't bad enough, navigating the court system can be just as confusing and time consuming. But it is an important part of the process that can determine the outcome of your case, and knowing the judges and the courts they preside over is vital to understanding how to present your evidence for a favorable outcome. Today, we turn to Harris County Assistant District Attorney David Mitcham to guide us through the court system.
5:00 pm We are joined once again by our frequent guest, Medicare Insurance Broker Kaushi Shah to explain another less understood part of Medicare insurance. We are all familiar with Medicare Part A and Part B, but there are many more alphabets that are offered by Medicare. We ask her today to explain what Medicare Supplemental insurance is, the cost and the coverage.
5:20 pm Federal Trade Commission data shows that more reports about impersonation fraud are filed than reports about any other category. Reported losses to impersonation scams have skyrocketed from January to June of this year to over $1.3 billion. Scammers are using new methods to drive the increasing losses. We turn to Kati Daffan, Asst. Director of the FTC’s Division of Marketing Practices to explain how consumers can protect themselves and their communities from impersonation scams by knowing how to spot them.
