From the Bonny Doon Mountains just outside Santa Cruz, CA you'll find an indie folk artist named Dead Nettle who writes gorgeous songs that simply glide effortlesslly from the speakers. Inspired by the nature of her upbringing, Dead Nettle is the stage name for Lindsey Wall whose 2024 songs Canyon, Prairie Grass and Egret have been a constant feature of my soundscape these past few months. I can recommend checking out her earlier album too "How I Thought" from 2022. It's more of a full band indie rock vibe with plenty of killer tracks like The Dealer, Undertow and Caroline just to name a few.
