"Shotgun" Shannon O'Connell has literally had the weight of the world on her left shoulder. Since her shoulder replacement surgery, she didn't even know if she'd ever box again. She tried considering retirement after her long career; but after recovering from the surgery and she began to punch the bag again and that lead to hitting the pads then that lead to sparring and after fights falling through and difficulty landing a date, she got back in the ring.
She's been balancing her boxing career with being a single mother of three, coaching, and personal training classes. She's more determined than ever to keep being a fighter.
