Ok. Let’s be clear here.

This Growth Instigator Hotline might be more of a confessional than a pre-recorded 3 minute leadership nugget. Judge me if you want. I bet though… you’re a lot like me and you could give your own story.

So without further ado let’s embark.

I own a company that has a lot of contracts cleaning offices and bathrooms, banks, schools and so on. So we have a fair amount of experience as custodians. In the building that our office is located another company cleans the building. And of course, not as good as Sky Service Pros can! In our building is a kitchen in which I wash dishes. The paper towel dispenser was always out of paper towels. And I continued to get more and more mad with the cleaners because they would never replace the kitchen sink paper towels. So, being the horrible person I was, I would wait until the night before the cleaners came and would use my special paper towel dispenser key, remove the paper towels from the bathroom dispenser and put the small rolls in the kitchen sink dispenser… and then I would roll up just a little bit of paper towels and put them in the bathroom dispenser so they would “run out” and need replaced the following day. It probably played with the custodians mind. I did this for probably 6 months. Finally one day, I was walking into the building the same time as the cleaner. I simply asked… “hey bro, do you think you could take the almost out roll of paper towels from the bathroom and put in in the kitchen for us to use to dry our hands and dry our dishes. He was SOOOOOO kind. He said, thats a super great idea. We ended up talking for probably 15 min. I really like him. Wow, I’m a crazy petty manipulative dude sometimes. As crazy as I thought he was… I AM!
