I’m speaking with Ricki Fairley the CEO and Co-Founder of Touch, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance and a Stage 3A TNBC survivor. Ricki founded Touch to address Black Breast Cancer as a unique and special disease state, with a goal of reducing the mortality rate for Black women.
I’m also speaking with Dr. Monique Gary, DO, MSc, FACS, board certified, fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist and medical director of the Grand View Health/Penn Cancer Network Cancer Program in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, where she also serves as director of the breast program.
We are talking about metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer and the outlook for black women living with this disease.
TNBC is the most aggressive type of breast cancer, and its impact is not equally felt: Black women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with TNBC than White women.
