On this episode of GoalChat, host Debra Eckerling talks about creative endeavors with Ella Glasgow, founder of Beyond Virtual Events; Jessica Kupferman, co-founder of She Podcasts; and Chari Pere is a cartoonist, illustrator, and writer. All have creative endeavors within and beyond their primary business. The three shared tips for getting started with events (Ella), podcasting (Jessica), and drawing (Chari), along with tips for focusing on, making progress, and prioritizing creative endeavors.
Goals
- Chari: Step outside your box. Do something different to get your creativity going. For instance, make your own comic
- Ella: If you are thinking about doing a virtual event, write down what you want to have happen; magic happens when you get your ideas out of your head and onto the page
- Jessica: Look up what other people are doing in whatever genre you are looking into, and write what you do not like about it
Final Thoughts
- Jessica: If you feel you are stifling your own creativity, remember life is to be enjoyed!
- Chari: Being creative is all about having fun and whatever that means. Go with the flow and see where the opportunities lead
- Ella: Give yourself grace. Sometimes it's hard to be ourselves because we were someone else for so long. Give yourself the opportunity to find the things that you like
