Isn't it interesting that idol worshipers aren't content just worshiping their own idols? They feel compelled to force you to worship their false idols, too. Even worse, they weaponize their idols, scheming to attack good, faithful people because they know that's the only thing they can use - the refusal to bow down and worship false idols. People who worship and weaponize idols operate in lies and schemes, because of jealousy or arrogance, to achieve power or dominance. Jesus, however, gives us specific instructions about how we are to share truth - and it's not by threats, lies, and intimidation.
