This week, we will be learning how to play the bass line to Make Your Mind Up by Souls Of Mischief. I've been listening to this riff since high school, slowly burning brain fuel to figure out what exactly is going on with this super fire riff. I had to dig in the crates and listen to the original sample to find out. The creation of this track is hip hop to its core: this song is pitched a 4th higher than the original and is also sped up. As a result, we're working out above the 12th fret this week. However, I take this riff as slow as the original so that you can comprehend the simplicity of this series of root - 5th - octave patterns. Lets have some fun with this one! @soulsofmischief
