Most of us are familiar with London’s notorious Jack the Ripper, but what about the Atlanta Ripper? The moniker may not be familiar unless you’ve taken a true crime deep dive into Atlanta, Georgia’s history during the early twentieth century. Join us in this two-parter as we talk about the series of murders that took the lives of young, black women in Atlanta during the 1900s. The murders were brutal and mimicked that of Jack the Ripper, so listener discretion is advised as we will discuss murder scene details. The majority of information obtained for this episode was gathered from a book by Jeffrey Wells titled, The Atlanta Ripper: The Unsolved Case of the Gate City's Most Infamous Murder. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/freshlybrewednoir/support
