Black Friday gave Sooner fans a reason to shout when their team triumphed 69-45 over the TCU Horned Frogs, wrapping up the regular season with a dazzling 10 wins and 2 losses. Although the Sooners put up a whopping 69 points, their defense gave up over 500 yards and 45 points to a less-than-stellar Horned Frogs squad.
Soon after the game, the Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby left to become the head coach at Mississippi State. And boy, did he leave a lasting mark! In the 2023 season, his Oklahoma offense ranked #4 in the country, piling up an impressive 502 yards and 43 points per game.
