Independence Day reminds us of the gift of freedom we have in our country, given to us by so many who worked, fought, and died to make it possible. We stand on their shoulders today. At the end of Colossians, Paul gives the Church a reminder of the shoulders it stands on: names of people who served with him with faith, courage, and love.
