Today's episode of the Far More Podcast was actually inspired by one of their YouTube Shorts that got some traction and thus brought out the the trolls and haters to judge Jason & Liz’s parenting style. You can view the YT Short here and if you're feeling super supportive of the FMP, consider leaving a positive comment on the Short to counter the haters.
Jason shares how he was concerned about two things when these comments dropped:
- How was this going to make Liz feel?
- How was Liz going to react to this type of feedback?
In previous episodes, Liz has shared that words of affirmation is her love language, and that typically anything counter to that would cause her to doubt herself and her worth, but not this time.
Liz passionately shares how it actually fueled her because she is solid on the parenting style that she and Jason have cultivated and even more importantly, she is solid in her identity in Christ.
They both talk about how, if followers of Jesus aren't encountering opposition and/or rejection, then are they really following Jesus? This is a tough question to wrestle with and it's a journey that all followers of Jesus should go on to answer this question for themselves.
