The theme of the second half of the book of John is to not only recognize who Jesus is, but to follow him, spread the gospel to the world, and focus on what God has called you to do. Our walk with God (our way of life) is washed or cleaned by developing a deeper understanding of God’s word and allowing that understanding to change the way we live our lives (our attitude, behaviors, and beliefs).
