Our world is experiencing atrocious and unthinkable trauma, and overconsuming and sharing on social media can be incredibly overwhelming and unhelpful. Today, we discuss the importance of regulating ourselves in a variety of ways during times of crisis and what we can do as individuals to contribute to positive change.

Shifting towards collectivism, trust, cooperation, and humility takes time and patience, as does any healing process. Throughout the episode, you’ll hear offerings for how to maintain as much emotional balance as possible during chaotic times, honor your capacity for contributions, and prioritize yourself as a means to reduce collective energetic upheaval.

In episode 443 of the Embodied Podcast we discuss:

(3:22) The essential qualities of villages

(7:30) Navigating disinformation and misinformation on social media

(12:14) Protecting your emotional well-being while staying informed during difficult times

(16:24) How to avoid adding chaotic and dysregulated energy to the collective during crises

(21:34) The necessity of integration for sustainable change

(23:55) The paragraph surrounding Audre Lorde’s quote, “the master's tools will never dismantle the master's house”

(26:39) Honoring the function of a collective and why trying to do more than our share can perpetuate systems of oppression

(32:32) An invitation for group discussions and reflections
