There are live trees in our neighborhood within walking distance. They are the monarchs of an only partially harmed ecosystem, but the natural world is our path to freedom from violent fundamentalism and its religious holidays. It's tough this year with the take-over of our government by hard-right apocalyptic criminal Xtian freaks.
