It's 1971 and Doctor Who is being reinvented for its 8th season! New companion! New recurring villain! New Autons! But what do Alex and Andy make of it? While there is much love for a particular stunt sequence and the horribly decorated interior of Rossini's grubby caravan, the pair struggle to like the story and reflect on why it might be that they've only watched it a few times. They have questions too. Boy, do they have questions! Why does Farrell merely 'not take to The Master' when he raised his arm to thump him? What would adults do with that troll doll? And why does The Master suddenly give up his entire plan?! Let's not even mention that Morse Code sequence. Along the way they make sidesteps into The Brothers and Blue Peter and as usual there's a jolly quiz, trips back into musical yesteryears courtesy of the Time-Space Visualiser, and for the first time the story is scored by the 'TARDISes out of 10' metric.
