The Paris Olympics 2024 Opening Ceremony
Manage episode 431653502 series 3315342
Since the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony July 26 social media has been on fire with people expressing their disgust or their support for what appeared to be a representation of Leonardo da Vinci's painting, The Last Supper, featuring drag queens, a large woman as Jesus, and a young child. This piece reviews what happened, how people responded, and how this fits in the history and context of Olympics ceremonies. And we offer a Christian worldview perspective.
