At only 16 years old, yes you read that correctly, William He has founded Dream4 America, a Gen Z-led non-profit founded in 2023 dedicated to mobilizing America’s students to promote the principles of freedom, democracy, & progressive government.
Born as a progressive counterpoint to Turning Point USA, the conservative youth movement founded by Right wing darling, Charlie Kirk, Dream4America advocates for what it calls “The Zoomer’s New Deal,” taking inspiration from FDR's New Deal. The program is a list of demands for public spending and advocating for increased taxes on higher income earners to fund so-called infrastructure developments. It also advocates for raising minimum wage to match what it determines is the cost-of-living, favors expanding unions, increases funding for Social Security, and funds developments in failing cities.
With progressive voice and former Hillary digital strategist Kaivan Shroff recently taking on the role of Dream 4 America's Press Secretary, things should start to heat up
as this pro-democracy grassroots network with a growing online and on-campus presence across the country as it aims to engage young Americans of all backgrounds through the flurry of 2024 election buzz and beyond.
