Welcome to episode 13 of Despite the Limits. In this episode I talk about choices, decisions, and consequences. This idea came from my reflection of the decision to evacuate from Aransas Pass on the Texas coast to escape the potential impact from Hurricane Beryl.
I explore some of the philosophy behind making decisions, why it can be difficult, and why making hard decisions is ultimately good for us.
Here is a link to the Ted Talk given by Dr. Mary Steffel, Associate Professor of Marketing, Northeastern University, titled “ How I overcame decision paralysis” This was my initial exposure to the paradox of Buridan’s Ass.
