This week we chat with Nikki and Alex about what iGEM is, who it's for, and how incredibly useful it can be for students of all backgrounds. Come and have a listen to the first ever games on our podcast: Two Truths and A Lie & Guess That Ridiculous Animal Grouping Name!
The inspiring Nikki Allen and Alex Ephstein, along with Zeta Lounnaou, are two project leads for the iGEM group at King's College London, which is an international and hugely interdisciplinary synthetic biology competition. They explain how incredibly beneficial iGEM was for them and their team, not only in terms of gaining skills way outside of their fields, but also because the competition helped them narrow down which direction they would like their careers to progress.
