The guys from Dawgmnan.com - Kim Grinolds, Chris Fetters, Scott Eklund, and intern Harlan Grady - sat down after day two of UW fall camp to offer their observations on what they saw, and as it was on day one it was more about who they saw and who physically stood out.

It was another shells and shorts practice with no scrimmaging, so that meant plenty of positional work, as well as fundamental drills, tackling and turnover stations, and special teams.

But as UW Head Coach Jedd Fisch said after practice, it was much better than day one, so keep up the hard work and that intensity, because things will keep ratcheting up as camp progresses.

So who physically stood out? Fisch also talked about the need to keep getting bigger during camp, so the guys talked a lot about the offensive line and how they looked, as well as some of the newcomers on the defensive line, like Logan Sagapolu and true frosh Omar Khan, as well as Deshawn Lynch and former Tacoma Lincoln and IMG standout Jayden Wayne, who recently transferred from Miami (Fla.).

They also marveled at the physicality of true frosh RB Adam Mohammed, the long levers of DB Elias Johnson, and just how big frosh OL Justin Hylkema and Davit Boyajyan are.

There was also an emphasis on special teams so the guys talked about that a bit too, including an early note from camp that Caleb Johnston is getting the one reps at long snapper, while former Colorado LS Cameron Warchuck is taking the two snaps. That will likely change a few times during camp as the coaches try and get them as many first-team reps as possible.
