Seventeen year old Anthony Templet called the police on June 3, 2019, to tell them he had just killed his dad, Burt Templet. He claimed he shot his father out of self-defense as his father had been drinking before they got into an argument. However, many felt that his reasoning did not add up, especially with his cavalier attitude. Something that should have been an open and shut case, soon turned into a whirlwind of twists and turns.
Was it now justifiable that he killed his father? Is he a danger to society? What could have transpired to make a son feel that the only way to escape his father’s torment was by killing him?
