#CLPEpisode92 What is mental health? Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act as we cope with life. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect mental health and disrupt a person’s routine. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and aging. Although the term mental health is in common use, many conditions that doctors recognize as psychological disorders have physical roots. However, how can we cope with the normal stresses of life?
