Omar grew up in an entrepreneurial family with a strong background in commercial real estate. After working in investment banking, where he gained valuable knowledge about taxes, Omar focused on reducing his tax burden while ensuring financial security for his family. He approached his business with consistency and intelligence.

“If you have good partners with similar shared values, you can go much further in a much shorter period of time with way less effort.”

He recommends getting involved in tax-incentivized industries like oil and gas or real estate and emphasizes the importance of carefully managing your 401(k). As a business owner, he explains, it's easier to limit tax exposure by deferring taxes.

Omar looked into various real estate asset classes, including retail and industrial, but ultimately chose multifamily properties for their generous tax write-offs. He focuses on B and A-class properties. In 2020, he expanded his portfolio to include development, highlighting that strong partnerships were key to his success.
