Maybe like me, this one grew on you when you realized the movie wasn’t about the big game.

In 1994, everyone was still taught to believe a player who wanted anything more than a scholarship was a greedy leech with no love for the game…and we just never really asked where all the money did go.

This movie did help that conversation along, but it also had some fantastic performances - even by non-actors - some really funny scenes and, of course, probably the best movie basketball playing ever.
