#05 How to stop talking and start doing - with Leen Schelfhout
Manage episode 328337018 series 3003445
I am curious to learn about new and experimental ways to organise community work, local politics and nature restoration. Today’s guest Leen Schelfhout, who is a Freelance facilitator, deep democracy trainer, co-organiser of the Regens Unite conference, and Executive Director at AllForClimate - a collective of local climate projects. I wanted to know from Leen:
- How can we move from debating philosophical ideals to concrete action?
- How do we keep going when people call our work naive?
- How can we ensure that impact-driven work is remunerated - like protecting the environment, improving public spaces or care work?
- And how do we create financial incentives for the “free” labour we all depend on?
Because if we fail to make it financially sustainable to contribute to the common good, we are perpetuating existing inequalities and injustices.
