Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.

What is the absolute smallest thing you can do for your clients that you could charge for an hour of your time, but what would 15 minutes cost? I know, you want them to buy the whole box of stuff. What about one item? We were working with a closet installation company, and they said, well, we have this great deal; it's ten shelves for $1,000.

I'm like, too much. I said, how about one shelf for $100? Carl, I don't even get out of bed for $100. I'm like, really? So if I called you and asked you for a quote, and you had to come to my house, you wouldn't come? He's, oh, no, I would come.

I'm like, well, how much would you charge me? Zero. I said, well, it seems like you get out of bed for no money. Well, how about this? Imagine I called you over to do a quote in my house, and I said, hey, Bob, thanks for coming over and looking over and giving me a quote.

I've been having a little trouble with this one shelf. Would you mind, you have a screw gun, I'm sure you have one in the van, could you just help me put that screw in? Would you do it, or would you tell him no? He goes, no, of course I would do it. So, in other words, you would hang a shelf for free.

He's like, yeah, good point. So how about this? How about you offer to do one shelf for $100? How many people do you know that have one shelf in their house? And that's when he got it. He's like, oh, right. I said, yes, you get in there, hang the one shelf, and then offer to go look at all their other closets and their pantries and their organizing system. They use the one shelf for $100 to launch their franchise company.
