I can’t believe we’re wrapping up the very first season of Breaking the Mould!
This journey has been all about challenging norms in HR and finding innovative ways to truly take care of our people. In this episode, I look back at the powerful conversations and game-changing insights shared by our incredible guests. From redefining wellness and leadership to uncovering the impact of metabolic health, this season has been an eye-opener. Stick around as I give you a sneak peek into Season 2—it's going to be even bigger, bolder, and packed with fresh ideas to reshape HR!
As we close out this season, I’m reflecting on everything we’ve learned together. This season, we dove deep into the heart of HR—wellness, leadership, talent acquisition, and performance management. I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with brilliant minds who’ve shared actionable advice and inspiring stories.
From Ian and Jeng unpacking wellness versus well-being to Randy reminding us of leadership fundamentals, every conversation reminded me why I love this field. Nichole’s story of thriving at work while navigating motherhood stuck with me, and Rylle’s no-nonsense approach to organizational development was a game-changer. We even tackled metabolic health with Oca, showing how employee well-being fuels productivity.
This season proved one thing: HR isn’t about policies—it’s about people. I can’t wait to dive into Season 2 and explore even more ways to break the mold in HR!
Key Highlights:

  • Reflecting on HR Evolution: I revisited the standout themes of the season—wellness, leadership, and how HR can drive meaningful change.
  • Wellness vs. Well-being: Ian and Jeng helped me understand that real employee support is about sustainable solutions for every part of life—physical, emotional, and even financial.
  • Leadership at Its Core: Randy reminded me that great leadership is built on discipline, trust, and habits that inspire accountability.
  • Balancing Motherhood and Career: Nichole’s story of navigating pregnancy while starting a new role was so inspiring—it proves flexibility and trust go a long way.
  • Simplifying Organizational Development: Rylle made OD practical, showing me how digging into data and focusing on long-term results solves big challenges like attrition.
  • The Power of Voice: Tasia reminded me how much tone and intention matter, especially in a digital-first world.
  • Why Metabolic Health Matters: Oca blew me away with his insights on how health impacts productivity and how small changes in diet can lead to big results.
  • Looking Ahead to Season 2: I’m thrilled to bring you more groundbreaking topics next season—get ready for bigger ideas and bolder discussions!
