In this episode, we are breaking the cycle of unhealed mindsets as we sit down and speak with trauma and somatic-informed clinical educator, speaker, and mindset coach for women in male-dominated fields, podcast host for "Human On The Daley," and Author of the Rediscovering Your Best Self Journal, Dr. Megan Daley!

Megan shares how becoming a parental caregiver forced her to pivot her life away from corporate healthcare burnout to career coaching, where woo-woo meets Western medicine. We discuss how balance is bullshit, how social media makes it challenging to create healthy, realistic boundaries, and what it means to have a work-life balance.

She breaks down some common challenges women face when making a career transition, how they can prepare for them, and how they can best communicate their career change to family and friends to gain their support and help them figure out what their pivot to a new career path is.

"I’m considered an expert in many things: physical therapy, wellness, oncology rehab, the musculoskeletal system, trauma & somatic informed care, nervous system regulation, burnout, and more…after a decade + long career as a doctor of Physical Therapy, the last several of which I ran a very successful cash clinic where I was able to start to incorporate mind-body-soul connections, I had enough of the systems and limitations of traditional healthcare. Mix that with a life altering event, and I felt everything in my being called to address the root of the disconnect I saw in myself and everyone around me. I realized SO many women, like myself, were living based on should's, to the point of not fully recognizing themselves and not knowing what’s missing…In my Career Clarity sessions, and in my retreats, I combine my knowledge of the body and mind to help high achieving women break out of the boxes of expectations, perfectionism, and people pleasing in order to truly discover who they are and what they really want in life (and what will get them there!)"
