James Gist averaged 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks as a senior at Maryland in 2008 before being named Second-Team All-ACC and All-ACC Defensive Team. The high-flying forward was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs before going on to having a historic international career. Gist joins the podcast this week to talk about his experience at Maryland, why he chose Maryland, playing for Gary Williams, and how he was able to be so successful in international basketball. He also gives great analysis of this year's Maryland basketball team & his perspective on Shell Shock as a former TBT participant. It's obvious from his insight that Gist will make an incredible coach based on his IQ, experience, and the coaches he learned from so he'd be a great person for Terps' players to learn from.
