For today’s episode, Tommy B and Robby G (AKA Cody B and Danny P) go #beyondFLG with Davona Blackhorse, a clinical mental health counselor who is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from NAU. In Davona’s program, her studies focus on the psychological impact of toxic land mining exposure on the Navajo Reservation and historical trauma among Native Americans. Among other activities, Davona has helped develop a social practice art exhibition titled, “Hope + Trauma in a Poisoned Land” and was a featured speaker at the National History Institute’s annual conference on Reciprocal Healing in Sedona. Davona is bright, strong, courageous. and knowledgeable.
