"Perhaps I was destined to have a strong resolve. My grandparents had come to the United States as legal immigrants from Ischia (EE-skeeuh), an island in the bay of Naples, back when it was a rough time to be Italian in the United States. My grandfather came first, looking to make a better life for himself and his soon-to-be family.

My grandfather courted his future bride by sending romantic letters across the ocean. They obviously worked, because my grandmother soon followed, and they were married in New York City. My father and Uncle Johnny were both born in Providence, Rhode Island."

Following the release of Rise Up, Dawn joined us on the podcast to discuss her take on how courage in business makes a tangible impact as well as her chapter in the book. Tabatha's chapter entitled "My Path To La Dolce Vita" shares her personal and professional experiences that led her to achieving success by showcasing courage and commitment each step of the way.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy another enlightening conversation from one of the brightest minds in business.
