Cynthia Johnston Turner
Manage episode 438768921 series 3439055
Yet another episode marred by excessive talking by Peter, poor introductions by Phil and general sleepiness by Chris. Thankfully, our guest compensates for all of our poor hosting. Dr. Cindi Johnson Turner has spent her career successfully guiding musicians at every level – middle schoolers, college students at Cornell University, the University of Georgia and now as Dean of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Cindi shares with all of us about building curriculum, excellence in the classroom, choosing repertoire and just how much power our pets have over us. WWPPD seems to always sneak into the podcast, appreciated or not. And of course, answered questions from our fans (we use the term fans very generously). It’s hard to believe that we have an entire season of fantastic guests lined up and yet the hosts remain generally clueless about successful interview technique.
