Từ đầu năm đến nay, chăn nuôi trên địa bàn tỉnh phát triển tương đối ổn định, không có dịch bệnh lớn xảy ra. Tổng đàn gia súc, gia cầm toàn tỉnh hiện có hơn 11,5 triệu con, trong đó gia súc gần 185.000 con, gia cầm hơn 11 triệu con. Thời gian gần đây, thời tiết nắng nóng kéo dài đã ảnh hưởng đến đàn vật nuôi, vì vậy, các nông hộ đã chủ động thực hiện biện pháp bảo vệ, chăm sóc đàn vật nuôi nhằm tránh những thiệt hại do nắng nóng gây ra.
