Host Troy Saunders and Tony freely converse about several life changing events in his life, like being raised by his mother, a divorcee, and the challenges he and his family faced, Tony's wonderful church family that supported and nurtured his talents from a young age, and growing up in a tough neighborhood and how it left him insecure and lacking confidence and what happened to help him to start to see his self worth.
Tony always wanted to be an entertainer, from singing in the church choir to participating in pageants in his youth, to dancing in music videos (his first being Raja-Neé's "Turn It Up" video).
As fate would have it, his keen ability to make people feel good about themselves led him into a career as a stylist, where has has excelled. Styling some of music's most celebrated artists, including Miki Howard, Chaka Khan, Ledisi, Andre and Sandra Crouch, Darryl Coley, Quincy Jones, Etta James, Mary Mary, and the list goes on.
In 2019, Tony felt like it was time to dive back into first passion, music. By 2020 he released his first album "Introducing Tony Walk," a collection of classic soul songs with a Tony Walk spin. In this episode he explains why he decided to make this his first effort.
Now with a newfound energy, Tony released his successful follow up, the "Good Vibes Only" EP. Four of the six tracks charted on the UK R&B charts.
Never letting grass grow under his feet, Tony is not only gearing up to release new music in January, but has a new book being released on Thanksgiving Day.
