Episode 3.02
Anna and Layne are joined by Savannah Simmons to discuss an abundance of current topics as well as her career.
Savannah, described by the African American Museum of Iowa as a local Iowa art activist, is a woman of many talents that we have known for a few years now dating back to her time making cakes at Tip Top Cakes.
Savannah discusses the importance of the food industry, what art means to her, and the Black Lives Matter movement. These conversations are never easy and we are so grateful for her grace and willingness to discuss the impact of race in her life in Iowa.
