[AMSA-Unhas POD.03] Triple Burden Disease
Manage episode 318896420 series 3191258
Triple burden disease is one of the health problem currently faced in this country. Triple Burden Disease also happened to be the theme for the 2019 Hands For Humanity, an annual social event held by AMSA-Unhas. This year, the event took place in Puskesmas Kampili, Gowa on Sunday, 24th of March 2019. As one of the philosophies of AMSA is action, this event is part of the attempts made to do what we are able to as medical students to contribute and give back to society the way we can. For this year's Hands for Humanity, the agendas were general health check, circumcision, and educating locals about URTI. This event was made in the hopes that through it, we can help achieve the goal of handling Triple Burden Disease, at the very least to make more people aware of it.
On the third AMSA-Unhas podcast, we had Chaca and Leony, members of AMSA-Unhas, talking about the Hands For Humanity event. Chaca acted as the host, interviewing Leony, Vice Executive Board Community Outreach AMSA-Unhas 2018/2019.
