Exodus 2:11-15 Exodus 4:10-12
The Scripture is filled with examples of people who were discarded, thrown by the wayside, deemed unqualified. Moses is one such story. His sin, murder, caused him to flee from God’s destiny.
He was convinced of his uselessness. As a result, he determined to stay out of sight.
What caused you to be discarded? A broken heart, broken faith, broken confidence, broken trust, broken hope?
1.
God is attracted to the broken and discarded. Psalm 34:17
God is activated by our brokenness. Psalm 147:3
2.
Brokenness doesn’t have to be fatal or final.
Never put a period where God put a comma.
God is all about redeeming, renewing, and restoring people.
Your brokenness is not the final word.
Often, we tend to avoid dealing with the very thing God wants to heal and use.
3.
Broken doesn’t equal useless.
The greater the breaking, the greater potential for use.
What man discards, God destines. 1 Corinthians 1:27
Brokenness can reveal gaps and cracks through which God shines!
God isn’t seen in our strength but in our weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9
