Beyond LinkedIn: Early Chapters of My Life and Leadership Journey
Manage episode 387496004 series 3522276
In this episode, Hakim openly shares some less widely-known stories that helped shape him into the professsional, leader and coach he is today. From an early age, he's felt a sense of connection and purpose when it comes to helping others. Hakim shares some of the activities, clubs, priorities, etc. that he chose to focus on to develop himself as a servant leader and coach. He speakes about his experience living in Morocco, not knowing the languages, and what that experience taught him about his resilence and commitment to not only doing hard things, but fully maximizing the experience in the process. Why is understanding and loving my own full story/journey so important in how I talk to myself and others about it? How important is it to pursue your passions when inspired to do so? And how does singing, acting and stunts fit into all of this? What's there to learn about ourselves from being in action, especially when the road is rough or unknown ahead? What does maintaining a growth mindset help create along the journey? How do you look at obstacles and, instead of seeing the possibility for failure, see reassurance that you're on the right path? How does creating time and space along the journey to "self-audit" or check your methaphorical backpack to see if what you're carrying still serves you and what your vision is to create. Tell your story...to others, yes, but more importantly to yourself. Do you love it? What don't you love about it? More to stories and details from these stories to come in future episodes. Stay tuned!
