On January 17th 1823, Lafayette Parish was born. 200 years later, it’s one of the most unique parts of the world to live - with an endless supply of good music, great food, and better people. Folks are always looking for a reason to celebrate in Lafayette Parish. My next guest knows a little bit about throwing a party. The former President of Festival International de Louisiane, Sami Parbhoo joins the show to talk about some of the history of Lafayette, what the Parish has in store this year for the Bicentennial, plus a look behind the curtain on what it takes to plan and coordinate a massive event like Festival International.
