In this Episode 3, Our Guest is Mr. Shantanu Gupta from India. Shantanu Gupta is an Indian author and political analyst. He has authored six books including Education Policy in India: Voice Choice and Incentives, The Monk Who Became Chief Minister which is a biography of the 22nd Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh - Yogi Adityanath. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shantanu_Gupta He has worked with a leading policy think tank, the Centre for Civil Society (CCS), for policy research and advocacy for the education domain. Before that he worked for UNICEF’s Integrated District Approach (IDA) project in Lalitpur, a remote district in the hinterlands of Uttar Pradesh. Working very closely with the local government to improve the service delivery for education, health, sanitation, and women & child welfare programs. He has worked as a management and consultant for about a decade across several countries including India, Switzerland, Cyprus, Hungary, Israel, and United Kingdom before leaving the corporate career for his passion to be in the social sector. He is a postgraduate from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex (UK) in Governance and Development and has done his research projects on E-governance, Local Governance, and Public service delivery with eminent professors and development professionals. Before this, he has completed his Post Graduate Certification in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Swarup in his 38 years of career has served in various capacities and later went on to become the Secretary to the Government of India. Before joining IAS, he worked as an Indian Police Service officer for one year. Swarup joined IAS in 1981 and is the recipient of the Director's gold medal for "best officer trainee" of his batch at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). Mr. Swarup is the author of the book "Not just a Civil Servant" which was launched in February 2019. Post-retirement, He founded the "Nexus of Good" Foundation. With 16 years experience teaching in classrooms, she has taught some of the toughest children in her town. Having a Masters in Special Education Bronwyn specialises in inclusion in mainstream classrooms and differentiating the curriculum. Her expert areas are autism and challenging behaviours. Bronwyn in addition to teaching and consulting uses the connection of social media to mentor and globalise teachers and classrooms internationally. She has travelled the world speaking about the importance of preparing students to be future ready. And is an advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Goals.
