Pro Football Focus ranked Joe Judge as the sixth worst head coaching hire in NFL history. With the Giants backed up against their own goal line, Judge called for consecutive quarterback sneaks on 2nd-and-11 and 3rd-and-9, showcasing a lack of confidence in his offense. Although reports suggested his job was secure before Week 17, Judge was fired after this game. His issues were compounded by a poor roster and forced decisions, such as having Jason Garrett as his offensive coordinator, and overall, Judge was not ready for the head coaching role.
Isaiah Simmons is set to see a role change according to Titans' defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. Simmons, previously used as a linebacker in passing downs, will now play nickel on first and second downs and a "MONEY" role on third downs. This shift aims to better utilize his coverage and blitzing skills.
