Lots going on with the local teams but we started with the Mets win over the Dodgers to tie the series 1-1. Gio said the Mets are walking way too many guys. Vientos said he took it personally when they internationally walked Lindor to get to him with the bases loaded. There are a few Mets who are trying too hard at the plate. That’s Francisco Alvarez and Jose Iglesias. The Yankees beat the Guardians in game 1 and Carlos Rodon pitched great. You got homers from Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton and Weaver shut it down in the pen. Pete Alonso had a great slide into home and a great stretch at first on the huge double play. Jerry is here with his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of the Jets losing to the Bills, 23-20. There were way too many penalties in this game. Rodgers' interception late was a key part of the loss. Jerry has the sounds of John Sterling as Juan Soto homered. We heard from Howie Rose as Mark Vientos hit a grand slam. In the final segment of the hour, Gio said he is irrationally hating Shohei Ohtani. Gio remembers Mike and the Mad Dog loving ratings talk as to who had more viewers yesterday, the Mets, Yankees or Jets.
