Manage episode 438017735 series 3597589
This week we are pleased to present the first episode of Spiritual Gems from The Holy Cross Bookstore. Join Nicholas Botsolis, our podcast host and Bookstore Operations Manager, for our inaugural episode, as he talks with our first guest, Fr. George Parsenios. Together they will be discussing The Theology of Saint Paul Apostle to the Nations. This text, assembled from the brilliant notes of Archimandrite Gerasimos Papadopoulos, is translated and edited by Fr. Peter Chamberas and is the perfect material for a fruitful conversation about the figure of St. Paul and the role of his writings in the ancient Christian faith.
Fr. George Parsenios is Professor of New Testament at Holy Cross, where he has also served as Academic Dean. Before working at Holy Cross, he taught for almost two decades at Princeton Theological Seminary as Professor of the New Testament. His teaching and research explore the interaction of early Christianity with classical literature, as well as the interpretation of the New Testament in the early church. He is the author of three books and several articles on New Testament themes, specializing in the Gospel and Letters of John.
