He Knows Me

• God knows you. We might be afraid of God’s watchful eyes on us, we might feel exposed and threatened.
• How many times have we deserved the wrath of God? He knows how we live, he knows you, and he chooses to love you.

He Is With Me

• David talks about the fact that God is omnipresent
• You could be lost in the middle of nowhere and God sees you, and not only sees you, he is with you.
• No matter how alone you may feel, you are never alone. God is with you. Near you. We don’t always feel that way, but it is true.

He Made Me

• David acknowledges that God was the one who made him. All life belongs to God.
• You’re alive right now because God wants you - with all of your strengths and weaknesses - to be alive.
• At different seasons of life, you may struggle to see what that purpose is.

He has Plans for Me

• Imprecatory Psalms are those that imprecate - invoke judgment, calamity or curses upon one’s enemies or those perceived as the enemies of God.
• God is holy, which means he will not allow sin to remain in his presence. David is focusing on God’s holiness.
• David understood that his heart could wander from God. He knew that he could get anxious and his thinking could be wrong. He could begin to think and believe things that are not true.

• How does the reality that God is everywhere (omnipresent) bring comfort to you?
• Why is it sometimes hard to trust that God had specific plans for our lives?
• What do you think about the truth that God wants you alive? That it is not by fate, chance, luck, or coincidence that you are breathing at this very moment.
