Life and you and me and even perfection aren’t perfect – but that’s perfect! It’s all perfectly imperfect, the best it can be given that it is what it is. But apart from the mystical heights where all is seen as as it should be (which consciousness propels what is to loftier levels), imperfection also helps us learn and helps us experience the ups and downs of the world. Perfectionism is where we allow our healthy desire for excellence to stray into sickness by deceiving ourselves into thinking a given task deserves further attention when in fact our greater perfection-at-large in life requires us to give up that task and move onto the next. By allowing ourselves a mere 80% perfection in our tasks, we likely get 20% more done; which means our overall performance in life will improve. The jewel in the lotus flower!
