Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered Full House S2E19: Blast From The Past, which aired on April 7, 1989 in the new series Joey's Ladies for the month of February. In this episode Joey gets a phone call from an old girlfriend he had at college ten years ago. Kimmy 'spellbinds' DJ and Steph to a very close co-existence that lasts a lot longer than originally anticipated. Danny's obsession with tax codes inspires Michelle to do some monstrous cleaning. I thought this was a good episode. We got to learn more about Joey's past and about how he gave up his heart to a girl who couldn't be more selfish in her actions. She broke up with him when they were in college with basically a deer john letter on her new boyfriend's stationary and broke his heart. Joey had been so in love with her he was going to propose. Fast forward 10 years and his ex Patty Fogerty is back fresh off a divorce possibly from the guy she broke up with Joey for. I knew this woman was bad news just from the phone call and Danny fills us all in since he has an extreme dislike for her. He's very protective of Joey and doesn't want to see him get hurt again. She was bad news then and she's bad news now. She's clearly on the rebound and not looking for a relationship since she just got divorced, she's just looking for a fun time and to laugh and apparently no one makes her laugh more than Joey. Overall, Joey realizes that what they had together was in the past and they're not falling in love again, just falling in love with the memories they shared. My opinion of Patty, she's crazy, she wants to relive her college days so bad, she's living in the past and she can't let go. She even suggests to Joey that they strip down and go streaking through the neighborhood. Lady, you're 30, lay off the cray-cray pills and let Joey move on with his life, and find yours. Good grief! Speaking of bad news Plot B has Kimmy performing a magic show up in the girl's room, it's all fun and games until DJ and Stephanie find themselves handcuffed together. Talk about anxiety inducing. Luckily for them when the rest of the family discovers this Jesse remembers he had a pair of magic cuffs and frees them, he turns the magic on Kimmy when she winds up with her wristed cuffed together. Better get your brother to give you the key and release yourself. Join me next week when I cover Full House S3E12: Joey & Stacy and ... Oh, Yeah, Jesse which aired on December 15, 1989. In this episode Comet, the puppy, is an undisciplined chewer, and Jesse bosses around with Joey, who fascinates a background singer to a commercial. I hope you enjoy the Podcast Episode!
