As a parent, worrying is second nature. You're constantly afraid that something could go wrong and when the worst happens and your child gets sick, it’s horrible to see your little one suffering.

Even worse, if the domino effect means your whole family gets struck down by an illness, looking after your kids can become a real challenge with viruses beginning to spread like wildfire during the winter season.

An early surge of respiratory viruses among babies and toddlers this fall has caught doctors off guard and means we could be in for a more challenging season when it comes to illnesses such as flu, RSV and Covid-19.

In this podcast episode, Sarah is joined by pediatrician Jessica Hochman, MD, to help us prepare for the season ahead.

  • What to expect this winter
  • The 3 signs your child should seek medical help
  • What to do if your child has a fever
  • Febrile seizures
