Today on the podcast, we are launching a very exciting and very special series that I've wanted to do for a long time. A Q&A series answering people's questions directly from the community. We had a ton of questions and we put them all together and categorized them into four categories:

  • Strength and conditioning
  • Injuries
  • Flexibility
  • Culture

Each one of these podcasts is 30 minutes and I’ll be answering five of the most common and biggest topic questions that all people in the gymnastics community have asked. So the first one today is all about strength conditioning, warm-ups, programming, doing some in-season versus offseason management, talking a lot about what exercises I like how to get gymnasts strong and powerful.

I ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:

Kim asks: I’m a huge fan of your strength and ideas and philosophy. But it seems to be more focused on optional gymnast who are in the gym 20 plus hours per week, how can I use it with my lower level gymnast who only trains six hours per week?

Sarah asks: How do I keep gymnasts motivated to do strength, conditioning, and basics? And how do I deal with complaints that it's too boring or it's too hard and not putting in any effort?

Arlene asks: What is your opinion on general gymnastic strength testing versus functional testing?

Em asks: How do you get stronger and more consistent tumbling in athletes?

ALSO…

Mark asks: How does your approach to season change in cardio change out of season versus pre-season versus in season?

We appreciate you listening!
