Diagnosed at 13 months old, he shares how early exposure to hospitals and doctors ignited his drive to become a physician, and how his subsequent diagnoses with HIV, hepatitis C, and numerous treatment complications did not deter his work resolve or his determination to have a family – and an extraordinarily productive career.
